Carney's Cash

Good to see Carney Marx worried about housing in the Dominican Republic rather than homes for Canadian senior citizens living on our streets.

"According to the 2020–2022 PiT Count, 27% of people experiencing homelessness are over the age of 50, and 4% are over the age of 65. These percentages have doubled since the 2005–2009 National Shelter Study."  Seniors and Homelessness

"The Ministers welcomed the upcoming implementation of an affordable housing project in the Dominican Republic, supported through the International Finance Corporation's GROW Initiative, a global platform to advance women's leadership and economic participation. Canada has contributed C $100 million to the GROW Initiative, including US $5.5 million (approximately C $7.8 million) for this sub-project."
